This is the only filter, which is positioned outside of the filtration device, and the only one whose function is NOT to filter the water, but to protect the system from faults in the water supply and sewage network, as well as from influx of contaminated water. This is a second sedimentary filter for large particles up to 5 µm, which plays a protective role in the system.
Mechanical filter that works on the principles of revolve filtration with a 100% contact surface. Pores of the filter retain 99% of large particles such as dust, rust, and sand.
Pressed carbon is a material with very large contact surface [500-1500m³/g] – two times bigger than granulated carbon. It is build by heat treatment of carbon-containing materials, such as charcoal, peat, wood, and coconut, which makes it perfect for absorbing active chlorine, and in addition to improve water taste and neutralising odours.
Membrane filter that is similar to Reverse Osmosis filter but with pores, which are bigger in size and gives it the following advantages:
REVERSE OSMOSIS is a membrane filter with incredibly fine pores, which filters particles with size up to 0,0001 microns. That makes it very useful in regions with medium hard to hard water from the local pipeline or a private probe with researched water for drinking purposes. Specific thing about this type of membranes is that, in order to succeed in retaining >99,99% of the harmful impurities dissolved in the water, the membrane needs high pressure so the flow of water can pass through it. Therefore, FIVO’s filtering devices are fitted with the necessary pumps.
In this phase the active charcoal is in granulated form [GAC] and its action is similar to the one of the pressed carbon. Only difference here is that the focus is towards final improvement of the water taste and neutralisation of odours.
As an additional option, FIVO offers different special filters for specific needs – mineralising, softening, alkalizing etc.
After selecting filters, which are suitable for your needs, we will prepare an “Individual plan” for their replacement, according to the yearly consumption (number of employees + visitors), in compliance with the healthy life of the filters. In case of the consumption is not fulfilled within 12 months, the filters will be replaced regardless.
